Most supplement brands choose ingredients based on what's trending, what's cheap, and what photographs well in a flat lay. Then they use the minimum viable dose — just enough to legally list it.
We did the opposite. Here's what's in Solás, why it's there, and why the dose matters.
CURCUMIN
25mg of a sprinkle. Or 125mg of the real thing.
Curcumin is the active compound in turmeric. It has one of the most substantial bodies of research of any natural anti-inflammatory compound — studies linking it to reduced inflammatory markers, joint comfort, and oxidative stress.
The problem is bioavailability. Standard turmeric powder is poorly absorbed. Your body sees almost none of it. Which is why most bars that include it might as well not bother.
Solás uses 125mg of 95% curcumin extract — the specific concentration used in clinical research. Not turmeric powder. Not a sprinkle. The form and dose that the research actually used.
Then we paired it with black pepper extract (piperine) — which enhances curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%.
That number isn't marketing. It's the mechanism. Without piperine, most of the curcumin passes straight through. With it, your body can actually use what you're eating.

TART CHERRY
Because "cherry flavour" and actual cherry are not the same thing.

Ginger has a comparable body of research to tart cherry for inflammatory response. Gingerols and shogaols — the active compounds in ginger — have been studied for their effects on inflammatory markers, joint discomfort, and digestive health.
It also happens to work with dark cacao and tart cherry in a way that makes the bar taste like it was designed, not formulated.
That's not an accident. The flavour profile and the function were developed together.
RAW CACAO
Not cocoa. Cacao. There's a difference.
Most bars use dutched cocoa — heavily processed, alkalised, cheaper, and stripped of most of the compounds that made cacao worth using in the first place.
Dutching improves the colour and mellows the bitterness. It also destroys a significant portion of the flavonoids — the antioxidant compounds linked to cardiovascular health, reduced oxidative stress, and anti-inflammatory activity.
Solás uses raw cacao. It's darker. More complex. Slightly bitter in a way that tastes intentional rather than accidental. And it retains the flavonoid profile that processing removes.
